(Something modern weapons are full of). And it can and will damage urethane gun stock finishes. There are much safer cleaners out there that work as well, if not better. And you don't run the risk of them damaging anything.

Only thing it isn't great for is removing copper and lead fouling, but you really ought to be buying metal fouling-specific stuff for that anyway. Hoppes and the like are crap for metal fouling.
