WebHartlepool College of Art/ Cleveland College of Art and Design. The Art College opened in 1874 in the Atheneum moving in 1897 to Lauder Street Technical College. In 1938 it moved into vacated Church Square School and the building was destroyed by fire in 1966 It was rebuilt and opened on the same site in 1968.
