WebBy default, when you hit C5 on your keyboard, it plays the sample in it's original pitch. But not all 808s are tuned to C. So you detect the pitch, and right click that note in the channel settings for the 808, that way when you hit C, it actually plays the 808 in C. This way, you can play/sequence your 808s in tune with your melodies more easily.
