Web16 dec. 2024 · Fifty_Cent. My Specialist just put a KNECHT MAHLE oil filter in my car, during the oil change today. He said the filter is the same as OEM, but it wasnt. The filter was (slightly) shorter, and to make up for the space there were some rubber extensions. Web21 mei 2024 · Received 17 Likes on 11 Posts. I have used both the Mahle and the Bosch oil filters. Both seem to work well although the Bosch was cheaper. The only difference I could see was the size of the oil holes. Turn them both over and compare the sizes of the larger outside ring of oil flow holes. The Mahle's are considerably larger.

Bosch filters are made by Champion Labs (aka: "Champ"), and while not a bad filter are not any better than a "Super Tech" filter from Wal-Mart (also made by Champion labs). Bosch outsources both oil and air filters, they only make their own fuel filters.
