Two Swedish Colleges were formed. Trinity in Round Rock, and Wesleyan in Austin. Trinity, founded in 1906, closed in 1929. Splethistories like Swedish Texans and One's Own Hearth will serve this need. Although they are generally good books, both have several weaknesses. In particular, each author could do more in the way of analysis. Scott used chapter 2 to discuss some of the "push factors" behind Swedish immigration, but he fails to suggest which were the most important. inspirauniversity.com
