In the United States in 2013, there were nearly 2.8 million TBI diagnoses, 282 000 TBI-related hospitalizations, and 56 000 TBI-related deaths ( 3 ). Webmoderate and severe TBI is fairly wellcorrelatedwiththese characteristics, but the relationship is not as clear with milder forms of TBI, which falls into a less well-defined spectrum.
